This might not be the ‘graphic artist’ response but I use picmonkey.com to resize and format photos, add text and overlays quite often. It’s free and easy to use.

Hey you!!! Good to finally see you in here:-) Do you have a gravatar account? If not, go create one and if yes, and give it the email address for this site. Or just feel free to update another avatar pic:-) The default here is set to pull from gravatar. I think Jon had written a thread on that some place in here:-)
